CINEL: Circulation and Water Mass Properties in the North-eastern Levantine
- Designing experiments with gliders, floats and drifters in the north-east Levantine basin, based on available bibliography and oceanographic data
- Underwater deployment, navigation and recovery of OC-UCY gliders from Cyprus over winter and summer conditions in one year
- Underwater deployment of drifters and floats in Cyprus’ marine area
- Preparation, start-up and operational management of the data assimilation system and OC-UCY forecasts during and between missions performed by the gliders
- Preparation and recording of results from the gliders and the forecasting model, and preparation of reports describing the activities that will be carried out during the project
