Researcher

Georgios Nikolaidis is a graduate of the University of East Anglia with a degree MSci Meteorology and Oceanography.

He is a Ph.D. candidate focusing on how mitigation strategies can decrease climate change impact on society by altering different physical variables on atmospheric and oceanographic numerical models. He is handling software related to numerical prediction regarding the atmosphere and ocean.

Some examples of the studies he conducted are coastal erosion vulnerability, numerical model validation/verification, and offshore energy potential analysis.

In addition, he is an expert in environmental data collection and analysis using numerous software programs such as MATLAB, R, and GIS. He also participated in various dissemination events and school visits, which were targeted at raising social awareness for environmental sustainability.
