Poonam Mohan is Postdoctoral Researcher in Oceanography Department at the University of Cyprus. She contributes to the FAMOS project, which focuses on studying the metocean conditions and development of environmental contours used in the design and development of Sustainable and Reliable Floating Islands for Multi-use Offshore Spaces.

She holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, Kerala, India, where she worked on numerical and experimental analysis in the area of offshore structural engineering and ship hydrodynamics, demonstrated through her work on the stability of floating structures. 

Her prior roles as subsea engineer at TechnipFMC include complex subsea structure lifting and stability analyses for subsea installations, showcasing her ability to integrate high-performance computing with offshore engineering challenges.

This blend of academic research and industrial application aligns closely with her current research goals at the University of Cyprus
